David attended the University Of Western Ontario where he obtained a B.A. in 1982 and an L.L.B. in 1985. He moved from Ontario to British Columbia in 1985 to begin his career.
He was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1986 and practiced exclusively in Ladysmith until his retirement in April of 2021.
David proudly served the residents of Ladysmith and the Cowichan Valley, providing legal assistance to the community for 35 years, before handing the torch to Martin Sanderson.
He was the Area Director for the Legal Services Society from 1992 until 2001 in Ladysmith, was a director for the Ladysmith Resource Center Association—a non-profit association in Ladysmith—from 2001 to 2004, and is presently a Director on the Board of the Ladysmith & District Credit Union.
David lives with his wife in Ladysmith and has two adult children.
